Double sided quilt - has anyone done this?

I made my oldest daughter's two sided because I wasn't fond of the front. Then only problem was the back's borders had to be adjusted to fit the front. If it had been a single, I could have done better borders.

My first quilt was hand pieced on both sides and hand quilted - a 9 patch. It took 5 years to finish.

Exactly what I do and why. Too many things I want to try and I love to end up with 2 quilts. Sometimes those I give them too like the back better than the front -- LOL!

I run into the same issue. They like the back better than the front many times

I think Bonnie Hunter did one where the back was all the orphan blocks she had stacked up. It was fabulous.

Most of the quilts I make are reversible. I find it helps to put a wide border on the "back" side so if the longarm lady doesn't get it lined up exactly even, it's not as obvious.
