I know that I've recently seen an 8 point, but I can't remember where I've seen it. I've been looking and just can't find it. The one thing I can tell you is I purchased a dresden template that has the different sizes on it. Everything else is the same. I don't know if this helps or not.

Here's a pretty easy way to get what you want.. the link I am placing here is for a 16 blade Dresden plate.. just cut your template the size of 2 of these.. and Voila.. an 8 bladed Dresden plate. http://www.quilterscache.com/D/DresdenPlateBlock.html hope it helps

Thank you for the link, Tippy. I also appreciate the help, as I too, can afford the forum, but not all the handy goodies I would like to have at Joann's.

I believe it was at JoAnn's. I usually wait for my coupon then buy something or wait for their sales.

I make mine out of template plastic. I just use a ruler and draw a line then disect the center with a line making a plus sign. Then just keep disecting it with lines til you have the sections you want. Cut out the section and add a seam allowance on each side. I use a DVD or a plastic lid to get a curve for the top and then trace it out on cardboard or template plastic. I can cut one or two for you and send them to you. Template plastic is thin not thick.
