    Default Dresden plate?

I saw a picture on Pinterest, it was the shape of a Dresden plate.
But it had just 6 petals that were rounded at the top.
can someone point me in the direction to find a tutorial on this?

It sounds like a flower pattern rather then a Dresden Plate. You could make your own pattern by folding a piece of paper in half and then fold the halves into 3 equal sections. Find a round object the matches the width of the 1/3 sections and draw the curved ends, cut the curves ends with scissors and then open up the paper. You should have a 6 petalled shape. You can cut one section out and add seam allowances to the straight sides of the petal and you have your template.

A circle is 360 degrees, divide that by 6, you get 60, so each "petal" would be 60 degrees, that is marked on almost all your rulers.

Look for "Grandmas Quilt" in the picture section, posted yesterday. May be what you are looking for.
