Default Dresden Quilt Templates and some help!

I have all my flowers, the sun and dragonflies all ready to go ...

I'm trying really hard not to go out and buy any more fabric ... but might have to!

    Here's the dresden stuff:

And here's a quick layout idea that I had ... I do have some green fabric somewhere (not sure where it is right now!) ... but I would add that to the bottom part of the quilt.

Of course, I have to add stems, leaves, the middle, etc ... but I have been having lots of fun!

Any suggestions, advice, etc ... please feel free ... I always get stuck somewhere in my creativity lines ... and this is where this amazing forum comes in!

Should I buy one colour and just applique everything on that? Or find the green and add it to that?

It's currently 60 inches wide ... with more fabric on the bottom I can move the flowers up / down so they aren't so close together!

Thanks so much for looking, and any comments / suggestions that come forth ... always appreciated!

You made some very lovely Dresden plates. Love the shades of colors you selected.

I think it would look great with a green on the bottom and the blue on top. I would either find the green fabric you have or purchase some new fabric specifically for this project.

I love the idea of adding green to the bottom, perhaps in a narrower band than the top. Also, I think the orange dresden in the right should be moved up into the blue area and the purple dragonfly moved down under it. That's just what strikes me. Maybe just try it to see how it looks!

Yes, blue sky, some landscape greens in background, and lighter in foreground...is the yellow Dresden the sun? Cool, fun project.......

it does look like a fun quilt to assemble... I also agree with Prism99... some green (doesn't have to be the same fabric but even shades of green) at the bottom. Wait... what color are your stems going to be? you might get your green there and then can add some neutrals or browns at the bottom... just thinking out loud.
