I buy some from MSQC, but I have to buy where the price is best.

Bonnie Hunter uses this for her tumbler quilts. I have 2 because I thought one was bigger than the other. Oh well! If I lose one the other will probably tag along and I'll have to get another. I have couple books that also have templates. So making a list and checking it "thrice'' instead of "twice".

I bought it in Houston and immediately went home and made the quilt top. I love it.

The Doan family and MSQC provides jobs to folks in a small farming town .. these are real people... not a corporation from who knows where. They provide free .. FREE.. tutorials every week .. Joanns does nothing for free. Here in Missouri we're a flyover state ... so I personally support every non corporate business I can ..
My thoughts exactly even though I don't live in Missouri. I am very picky who gets spendable income and the Doan business is on the top of the list to buy from.

Is this template the thick plastic? I bought one that is very thin and already I have cut it with my rotary cutter.

I have several (at the time I didn't realize one could be used for various patterns). I find that I am always grabbing a larger one. It allows me to cut many different sizes but it is easier (for me) to hold and maneuver. I love making dresdens and versions of them. Two things to remember - your 1/4 seams are very important and sew the blades together starting at the outer edge. If the are uneven in the center that will be covered by the center circle or bias trim if you do it as a tree skirt. Hope you have as much fun making them as I do.

I bought the 47" Marilyn Doheny wedge ruler from my LQS. Love it. Makes a large medallion quilt or Christmas tree skirt really fast.
