I just bought an "Easy Pointed Dresden Template," today at store and I was so excited to bring it home and start. Then I youtubed... the missouri quilt store tutorial on dresdens, and Jenny's template was different. It wasn't pointed until she sewed a one fourth seam allowance to it. So.. my template already has a point to it. Do I just cut it out and then press with an iron the points back by 1/4th and then applique it on. Or hand sew them back to give the points a finished edge? Help. It looks like I like the missouri quilt store one much better.

I made my Dresden plate like Jenny did, so I really can't help. I'm sure someone here will know how to help you.

I think that if you cut the point off and then sew a 1/4" seam across the top, open it and press, it will be the same as the Missouri points.

I thought of doing that too. Hmm.. It's risky. Let's do it.
