I was told by Coats and Clark that they no longer make the cotton covered polyester thread. The woman told me that the new dual duty polyester thread is the replacement. I think they may have a hand quilting thread that is cotton. Hancock's sells it.

Calicoquilter is right on target. Just recently discovered that Coats and Clarks no longer makes the cotton/poly thread. I would not use it to sew my patches together. Most LQS carry 100% cotton thread. There are several brands available. Online - check with Connecting Threads. They also carry a 100% poly - so be sure to read the descriptions.
