Duh. Now odd size bricks - what to do with them?

At least you have the option. You can always trim down, you can't make them bigger. If you do decide to trim them down use blue painters tape to mark the size. It makes it easy to see exactly where to cut, much faster too.

I would cut them down and make your original project. I'm in the middle of making a lap quilt for my sister and I CUT THE SQUARES TOO SMALL. Some days it just doesn't pay to do the math. I was trying to save material, so I adjusted the square size to eliminate waste and like I said, my math didn't compute. So I cut down the rest of my blocks and am still making the original project, I will just have to make many, many more blocks.

i would use them then trim my blocks to the correct size- id don't think having an extra 1/4" is anything to loose sleep over- i cut most of my pieces a little larger than called for then trim my finished blocks- that way i'm never short- or wind up with a block that is 1/2" smaller than it should be.
