I like using the conversation/novelty prints. They are fun to use.

I thought conversational prints are the ones with actual words, etc. Conversational prints are a sub-set of novelty prints.

I would call those novelties, and think that conversational prints are prints with words or slogans on them. If not sure, then just avoid both for your secret pal gift!

Just wanted to let you know that wasn't a dumb question! There are quite a few of us that learned something because you asked. Thanks!

I too thought they were novelty prints used especially in I Spy quilts. Not my thing either. Good Luck !!

There are a few I like but I wouldn't use any of them in a quilt unless I was making an I SPY design.

I, too, learned something new. I use these prints a lot in my comfort quilts when the person receiving the quilt has special interest in certain topics and I can find the fabric to match.

Yup....I learned something new too. Thanks for asking. There is no such thing as a dumb question if you don't know the answer!
