I have made levi quilts for many years and just used regular sewing thread and they are as old as 20 years and still going.

thanks for all of your comments and thoughts. I am working on this tonight. I decided to do the "birthing" method so I don't have to put a binding on it.... because I wasn't sure what to use to bind.

thanks! thats good to know... my jeans are ones that my boys outgrew and they are mostly American Eagle
