I've made this quilt and it is not hard to make. The only time consuming part is putting the blocks together because they go on an angle. I made it for a wedding gift this year and it turned out beautiful. It looks a lot like the blue and white quilt already posted. Good luck.

I got the book to make Lovers Knot quilt and while I want to change one of the materials, that isn't a problem. Once I find the book.... Anyway is 5 weeks enough time to get a double bed quilt completed, or should I look for a quicker pattern? I work full time, but usually can manage some sewing time in the evenings, and all weekend if i try really hard. So, if you have made this patten, what do you think?
El has a tutorial video for this quilt pattern on her site. www.quiltinaday.com
SAF, do you know which episode that video is on? I saw it a long while ago, but I've been looking for it recently, and I can't find it. Thanks!

Thank you for posting the pics, I was also curious and would have gone looking if you hadn't already posted some.

The Lover's Knot by Elenor is very easy. You will easily have it done in time. I have made it and love it.

This quilt is very easy to make. It was the very first quilt I made years go for my mom. 5 weeks is more than enough time. The only words of caution I have is to be mindful of the borders that have bias edges. Make sure you don't stretch them. I did stitch-in-the-ditch for quilting on mine. I also used either a very fluffy batting or two layers of batting (I just don't remember). Post a picture when you're done!! It's not a great picture, but here's mine - after it's been washed.

    Hi,
I have made this pattern twice and it sews quickly. The first time I made it though I wasn't so careful about how I laid it out and got a different pattern than planned. My only suggestion is label your colors well if you change them from the pattern. Enjoy
