    The very first block was a little crooked but practice makes perfect. I do have a question though. Is there a star quilt that can fill the very middle of a quilt?

    The long star can be made quite large. There are several sites out there for patterns, this is just one.

    A long time ago when I wrote to friends I would make my own stationary and one of the designs I created looked like a playing card. I'd love to recreate the border but I need something to fill in the middle. Any suggestions?
