Default Edge to Edge Quilting by Amelie Scott

Does anyone know anything about this?

    Pros and Cons?

Looking for a way to quilt using my embroidery machine.

It looks great, but hard to tell really.

I have the book and two of the discs. It is a great way to quilt smaller quilts. She recommends that you don't do anything larger than twin size. I did a bed runner and it worked great. She has some very nice designs.

I wish you could buy her designs individually.

I have no idea about the book, but I saw a demo of quilting via embroidery machine by a local Viking dealer and it looked pretty cool. I'm not real keen on decorative stitches for quilting, but many people use decorative stitches when quilting with a regular sewing machine & love the look. I am by no means a quilt expert, but I couldn't tell the difference between the quilting I saw from the embroidery machine & regular decorative stitches.

I don't have an embroidery machine but I would be worried about overquilting a quilt.

The quilting done with the "edge to edge" designs look just like someone had free-motioned it. They are not dense like a machine embroidery design.

I bought the original pack and one of the expansion packs. I had a little bit of a learning curve when I first used them, but It was more my fault, than hers. I like them a lot. Sure, there are a couple of designs I may never use, but I think I'll use most of the others. I really like how she puts double-sided basting tape on the back of her inner hoop, so you can hoop the quilt accurately. It really helps.
