Elna warrantee?
#2
This brochure talks about a 2 yr. warranty for commercial users with the possibility of an extension to 5 years by subscribing a professional service scheme (I don't know that that means). It doesn't address the warranty for a home user. I think I would contact the company & get something in writing if your paperwork doesn't indicate what type of warranty it has.

o.k., now I found this brochure. It say that a 5 year warranty is included with their products for household use.

That was all I have found too. I am looking to get a new machine and my choices so far are the Janome 6700p or the Elna Excellence 720pro. They look like the same machine just different colors and packages. The Elna is cheaper and comes with a lot more accessories.
The Janome reads Warranty:
25 Years on Mechanical Parts
5 Years on Electrical Parts
1 Year Labor.
So I wanted to compare it with the Elna warranty. I haven't gotten to the dealers yet, wanted as much information ahead of time as possible.

The Elna of that era was its own company and based in Switzerland. The original company ceased in the mid 90's and the brand name is now owned by Janome.
