    Default Embroidery Machine Needles

Where do you get your embroidery machine needles? I'm finding $16 for a pkg of 10 from my LQS a little expensive. Is this just the going price for them? This additional hobby may push me over budget when my main passion is for longarm quilting.😁

I got 100 Organ needles for my embroidery machine at AllBrands.com--for less than $30.00.

That's high, but you should also know that you don't always need an "embroidery" needle. There are lots of projects that topstitch works on, especially FSL, you can also use sharps on somethings. I get mine most of the time from my LQS but do take advantage of good sales when I can.

I use Schmetz Embroidery Machine needles. Like the others, I stock up on them when JoAnn's has a sale on notions. Some times you can find a pretty good bargain on Ebay. Depending on your machine, I would use embroidery machine needles because of the smaller shaft of the needle. If you are in a pinch you can use Schmetz Quilting needles for embroidery, just go down one size.
