I have a Brother Innovis 4000D and tend to make a lot of FSL and in the hoop designs. Towel toppers, cosmetic bags (all done in the hoop even putting in the zip) Have made a couple of evening bags, table runners, 3D flowers are always a favourite. FSL bookmarks are always popular to tuck into Christmas Cards which have been embroidered on my machine.

My son wears cotton scrubs for work. I did his name and title on them and so far my favorite stabilizer has been a sticky back water soluble. That way I didn't have to hoop the shirt but stuck it on. The next one I would go with is a light weight polymesh that was designed to use with baby items so it's soft on the skin. Consider hooping two layers in opposite directions to reduce the stretch during sewing. I know you can get it in either black or white to go with whatever it is you are doing. You might also use a size 10 or 11 ball point needle. My latest experiment was with a tear away from JoAnn's that is quite soft and has lots of holes. It works so great, I love it and I get yards with 50% off coupons.

I love MollyMine for designs. They are quite inexpensive and so extremely accurate. Her digitizing is amazing. I recently joined Artistic Thread Works and have been very happy with their designs as well. I believe they come from different digitizers so not all are great, but I haven't gotten a bad one either. They have a great website with lots of tutorials. I did get designs for Christmas cards and package tags there that I love!

I just realized that postings to this thread ended about a year ago. Hoping others start to post here again as I really enjoy reading about what others are doing and getting new ideas. I found a very cute, simple, and free stuffed bunny design from Urban Threads. I make bunches of bunnies to donate to a local hospital for the kids.

I too have made a bunch of the bunnies for foster care small children. My daughter has made 60 pillowcases for the older kids. I downloaded a great free gift card holder from fivestarfonts.com. I really like their cute stuff. They are having half price sale right now. I have bought several designs from them. The also include great directions. Im addicted to in the hoop!

I like to put small designs as a "logo" on my polo shirts. If a design will take longer that 45 mins to stitch out...not happening! Yes, I have two sewing machines but I end up watching the embroidery stitch out.
I will do towels, the occasional quilt label. Small projects.

I have a Brother Simplicity embroidery machine and it has worked very well for me over the years. Things that I have put embroidery on are: tea and hand towels, baby clothes, quilt blocks and aprons just to name a few.
