I am trying to figure out some cool ideas to make for potholders. I have been surfing and finally found this video to watch with lots of ideas.

I had a Brother 250D then upgraded to a Viking Topaz 30 which I love. I gave away my Brother to a good friend and she is doing more with it than I ever could! I do love my Topaz though I have had some problems with it. Do you see a pattern that it might be MY problem and not the machines?? I have done all sorts of embroidery from towels to ITH projects and quilting designs. I've even taken over doing my son-in-laws logos on his work shirts. I also do all of my quilt labels on it, t'shirts for the grands and beach towels for the whole family. It is nice to go back and forth between the quilting and embroidery. The Topaz 30 has the big throat to do the quilting easily!
BTW-I have been lurking here enjoying all of the posts and pictures but have just started putting in my 2 cents worth--it may not be worth 2 cents! lol

I got my embroidery machine so I could make my own quilt labels. Then I moved on to adding embroidered designs in my quilts . I like to do mostly little things that would enhance what I am making but I just finished a wall hanging from BFC Creations That had 12 embroidered sections of 30,000 stitches each and then sewn together. I enjoyed making it and loved the look of the finished product.

I like quilt in the hoop projects and have several patterns by my friend Angie Stevenson of Lunchbox Quilts. I am part way through "Merry Christmas" at present. I also want to try several of the designs by Hoop Sisters. I really like the use of modern embroidery technology to make my life as a beginner quilter easier

I have a Bernina 830 and Viking Diamond.

I have a Bernina 640E and have made all kinds of things for gifts, from quilts with embroidery, to purses, ornaments, bookmarks, burp cloths, towels, potholders, rice bags (heat/cold packs) etc.

    Here are few things.

You sure have made some cute things! Love the bookmarks and ornaments. Did you do the lace on your machine?

I have a Bernina 640E as well, but so far I have only used it for making labels for my quilting. I need to learn how to do stuff on the computer to transfer over to my machine.
