    i'm loving the lamp idea. But although I have a few I'm a long way from having a lamp base full of them.

    I love this idea, I normally loop mine over a hanger and then TRY to find some place to hang it while I am sewing. If I can find some place to hang it that it doesn't get in the way it works great.

    I collect the wooden ones myself, most of them still having the thread on them. When you buy all of these old treadles there is all sorts of goodies in the drawers.
