I am trying to do a block that has diamond shaped paper piecing.
I can find videos about the hexagon shape but none on the diamond shape. I am ok till I get to the point...then I get a jumble of fabric.
I am looking for a video so I can sit and replay it till I get it right.

OR.. a good book that has picture instructions that I can follow.

I know I will get some great answers from this board.

Think of it like a miter from the wrong side....When you get to the point, continue the fold to the end of fabric, then turn it back unto itself to form the point, and it should all be nicely folded as you continue down the other side.

Man, I just reread that and I don't know if it's even comprehensible. But I don't know how else to explain it.

It's like you were needle turn appliquing it. Does that help?

    Oy.

This might be helpful, about 1/2 way thru she does the diamond shape.

It works just like the hexagons do only you have 4 sides instead of 6. Many folks make the Tumbling Blocks pattern using the english paper piecing method. You can really make any block with the method.
