Default EQ Programs Allow for Strip Piecing?

I have a quilt designed in EQ5. I can see how strip piecing would work really well. But when I click on the yardage, etc. it shows cutting pieces, not strip piecing. So it isn't giving me accurate amounts or sizes.
I was wondering if the newer EQ's allowed for strip piecing.? Or if I just need to wing it?

I did that. It just shows the sizes and shapes to rotary cut them out individually. I can strip piece 4 pieces together and then cut an angle and use the opposite piece for the opposite one.

The block is 12". It is divided on the diagonal in both directions, then divided up some more. Think Chippendale fence. (not dancers)

I'm trying to make use of my eq5 but it isn't very user friendly. It's almost like you have to know how to do it before you design it.
Maybe I need more in the way of a pattern with instructions.

The suggestion of EQ being able to do strip sets might be a good one for the EQ website. EQ might welcome the idea. I think one reason EQ might not do the strip sets is that you only print one block at a time. Perhaps being able to print multiple blocks (which I would love!!!!) rotary cutting instructions, would let them give us that ability. Now who is going to contact EQ?

It's been a few years since I used EQ5 so not sure, but I don't think it will print the yardage for just single blocks. You have to have your quilt open, with all your blocks placed in it, then tell it to print - fabric yardage. This should tell you how much of each colour fabric you need. You will have to print rotary cutting for the size stips

I am working on some small mini quilts that will be made into Bible bags. Once I get the design looking the way I want, I start counting the number of squares, then grab the calculator times the width of the cut. Not sure if a program can be written to do that. I have noticed that EQ does come up with accurate yardage suggesting 1/8 of a yard which would be the amount I would need when buying fabric.
