Several years ago, I decided that it would be helpful for me to be able to plan out quilt ideas with a dedicated piece of software, rather than doing it by hand or in publisher or paint. My main wishes at the time was something that would ensure my blocks/patterns were the same size and I could get estimates for how much fabric to buy. I did some research and EQ5 got great reviews, so I bought it.

Since then, it's been the single most frustrating program that I have ever tried to use. I've read the book, viewed the videos and tutorials, and almost nothing about it has made the least bit of sense to me.

My issue at the moment is saving a color palette for a particular quilt. I messed around with colors and finally settled on 16 of them for a quilt. I would like to save those specific 16 colors for use on another quilt of the same design, but I can't figure out how to save only those colors as a palette by themselves. Is that just not possible or am I missing something obvious?

Thanks for any and all help!

click on the save icon, and then start a new quilt without leaving this saved quilt. choose your blocks and layout, and see if the palette has remained.

You can also email EQ and they will get back to you tomorrow :D:D:D

I always have found the answer and step by step instructions how to do anything in EQ in the help index. EQ6 is a little more user friendly to me then EQ5.
