It will take me too long to search through studying all the squares. Has anyone discovered what they call Jacob's ladder? I was shocked to not find it--seems like a staple.

When I search through the block library, I try and guess which section a block may be in... they all go by so many different names  :lol:

I agree, it seems like EQ could have used some more common names, maybe under a separate list! I just have to scroll thru and look, takes time.

Thanks!! I figured it had to be a chain and had looked there, but I wasn't familiar enough with Jacob's Ladder to recognize it. I remember looking at that one and thinking--huh--is that it??

Marjpf--thanks for that link--but I have the pattern in several places; I use EQ6 for color and placement ideas.

The only thing close is called Road to California. Just pull up block libraries and click search and type in Road to California. It should come up. Hope that helps.

This is the one I made, when I made my first quilt which was a sampler all by hand in 1983.

Barnbum. I just did a block search and found it in my EQ6, I just searched by jacob. Six different blocks came up but the first one was the traditional one.
