EQ6

Can't wait to upgrade to EQ6 from Quilt Wizard...Love Quilt Wizard, but want the additional features of EQ6, especially being able to scan in your own fabric, as much of what I have is vintage stuff and not available currently in stores so not in the QW files.

I had purchased the Jenny Haskins cheaper product but did not like it. I ended up buying EQ6.
I LOVE it - if you decide to purchase it . . . Go here. Trust me call them - they had it cheaper than anywhere else - you will not regret it.

I got myself the EQ for Christmas... I do enjoy it but haven't really had the time to play. I did tey and take the Quilt University online class - I got through lesson 1 and life got in the way so I printed out the lessons to do while we're camping this summer. It's too hard to take along my sewing machine but we always take our laptops - DH is a big computer junkie - so I will have quilting time while camping!

I grabbed the Folk Art Blocks off the website the other day - 10.97 "while supplies last" - it came to a little over $16 with shipping - it got here last night (hey our UPS man never shows up until dark)... anyway, it was WELL worth the $$ - 200 patterns!

Oh my goodness, the upgrade to EQ6 is so worth the money. I couldn't believe how cool the features were to use.
You would be even happier to get the supplemental tutorial, EQ6 Simplified, so good for teaching how to use the special features.

I got it last year and love it. I am slowly learning how it works. Not that it's hard, just very time consuming.
I did do one thing as soon as I got it. I took the manual down to an office supply store (Office Max, but others probably have the same service) and for less than $7 I had the binding cut off and had plastic spiral rings attached, along with a nice clear plastic cover. This way, the manual will lay flat and I can fold back the pages to the one I want. Some of the illustrations in the book go practically to the edge of the paper and I was concerned that some of them would be cut off, but they weren't.
BTW, the manual has pictures of almost every step you need to do, whatever task you are doing.
It also states in the manual that if you have EQ5, you can buy an upgrade of EQ6. I assume the manual comes with the upgrade.
