EQ7 question
Hope some of you that use EQ7 might be able to answer this..I am making a scrappy denim quilt using all the same size squares. What I need is a way to tell how many of each color square I will need and if I Print the layout how can i know which color goes where. I am dealing with about 200 squares, so layout is confusing.Any help greatly appreciated as this is a real learning curve for me, but I am determined to learn this.

If you're just using squares, you can go directly to the quilt layout and set up with the size square and number blocks across and down. Then fill in each block with the fabric you want. Then file -> print -> fabric yardage will tell you how many patches (blocks) of each color. If you want to print the layout, use file -> print ->quilt and check "showing fabrics."
Does that answer your question?

The print fabric option was exactly what I was looking for, but, is there a way to get the fabric "names" to appear on each square? I am dealing with about 10 different shades of blue (faded) fabric that are real close, but, are organized by name. Otherwise, that is REALLY close. Thank you for your help!!
