I was wondering if any of you who have Etsy Shops would be willing to share your experience. Are you able to make a profit sewing and selling your items there?

I've been thinking about it myself. So will wait to hear.

    Thanks for posting the question.

Beth, who works with me, sells on eBay and also Etsy.

eBay sends the vast majority of the business. She says when she gets the odd sale through Etsy, it is just a nice "extra".

I have one for years...it is VERY hard to get noticed with so much of the same stuff on there now! You have to have something that really stands out, a blog to promote it and the patience of a Saint. Make money, probably not!

I do not sell finished items, I sell Specialty items like ultrasuede, dyes, chemicals, wire hangers and such.

Thanks for the info because I was wondering about this too. There are soooo many quilts for sale on Etsy. I like to go look for ideas.
