I took a class on applique. I had done the center of a small wall hanging. I took it to work to work on it during my break. After break, I put it in my desk drawer. I was busy and forgot about it. The next week, I couldn't find it to take to class. I looked everywhere. I thought I had put it in my desk drawer, but it wasn't there. So I had to make another top and applique. It is still only half done. About 8 or 9 years later, I retired. I was cleaning out my desk. For some reason, I reached behind the back of my desk drawer and there was my quilt top and applique.

Let me see...I can't find the 2 metal flower buttons I just bought...the flat flower pins...my sand dots...etc etc. This is a testament to my degree of unorganized, but like you, I "put it up" so I can find it later...sigh.

You will find it when you stop looking :-D

I think you are right. I have inanimate objects that hide from me all the time just to aggravate me. Sometimes I don't know if I've lost my horse or found a rope.

I find stuff "missing" from my kitchen drawers like that all the time.

I took an antique GM Flower Garden trying to match the muslin. I finally found some but NOW I can't find the quilt!! I have been looking for it for 3 years and it still hasn't appeared. They will probably find it when I am dead and buried. So frustrating !!!

Maybe there IS a quilting fairy godmother and when you find it it will quilted and bound ready to use......You don't think so!!! Oh well, daydreaming is better than stressing, lol.
