I always keep one of my quilts on the back of the couch, change it according to season, holiday, etc. My quilts are not art quilts, or professionally quilted, but can go to a picnic & on the floor for play. My grandchildren love to roll up in them, make forts, etc. The cat sits on them.
So recently I actually bought a beautiful quilt done by a professional very talented quilter. I had it on the couch & my 7 yr old granddaughter was looking it over & asked me if I had made it. When I told her no, that I had bought it she looked at it again & said "Well, then I don't like it!"
So it is all in the eyes of the beholder.
