Fabric is wonderful, you don't have to feed it, take it to a vet. This addiction is more acceptable than gambling, or drugs, or, drinking. Fabric colors make you feel good, planning the next projects keeps your mind active, and if armageddeon comes, you will never go naked.

I recently started organizing my fabric. Wrapping them around comic book boards etc. I swore that I was going to use what I have before buying more.

Then I started on Bonnie Hunters Orca Bay Mystery quilt. I was determined to use my stash for the 4 color families that the pattern uses. And I did start that way - honestly. Then after I started the first step I decided that I didn't have enough variety in my neutrals (mostly tone on tone) or my oranges - mostly batiks. I ended up buying 20 more 1/2 - 1 yard pieces (5 or 6 neutrals and the rest oranges). Hehe. In addition I decided I needed a couple more purples too. My total for "NOT BUYING" fabric was about $80.

Guess I need a scrap quilt pattern that just needs lights, mediums and darks - not color family related. Oh well, that is my excuse and I am sticking with it.

Someone once called it cheap therapy, since a therapist is usually a couple of hundred per hour. Enjoy your stash.

I know I spend too much money on fabric and sewing stuff. This month I have already been so bad...now the brakes are on fabric buying for now....at least for today, tomorrow, etc.

I've often suggested to quilting friends we start a group, but I just can't figure out why no one will ever join!!! Hee hee

Welcome to the club honey. Fabric and quilting go hand in hand for becoming a quilt addict, and so far I haven't found a cure. To tell the truth, I'm not sure that I want to be cured. I'm trying to finish up UFO's and have started, however, my DS told me that while DDIL had asked me to make a quilt for their bed, DS wants me to make a twin size quilt for our wonderful granddaughter. Now how can I refuse that. Anything for Zoe. I think the best thing about Quilter's Anonymous is that there are no dues, no Board of Directors, no secretary to record the minutes of the meetings, no minutes, no rules of any kind and you can share all your creations at Show and Tell. Plus you get to meet a lot of great quilters who are happy to share what they know. It doesn't get any better than that.

Welcome to my world, I got 10 boxes of fabric 2 weeks ago and bought more fabric today from a lady going out of business. I got such a great deal I just couldn't pass it up. hubby said I didn't have any more room for any more fabric (silly man, he didn't want the you tube video). I have so many ufo's I should name my sewing room the "Galaxy"
