Can't pick a favorite color..LOL But I do know that my next living room will be very "neutral" so I can switch my color schemes with my mood or the season.

I'm going to solve the mystery of why we all like different colors. It fit perfectly into my life and I bet it will yours too.

Years ago, I had a color analysis done (Color Me Beautiful....see website) and I came up an "autumn." That means I should like all the autumn and spring colors best. Well, I do and always have. These are the colors we gravitate to, which is why we don't like the opposite "season" colors. I have a "winter" Mom and sister who love the cool, crisp colors and look fabulous in them. My Mom has beautiful white hair and has since she was about 35. My Mom always bought me navy, black, red and white..."winter" colors, and I hated them, but because they pleased HER eye, she thought they looked good on me. When I got my own earned money, I naturally went to all my browns/rusts/peach/greens that I love so much. Everyone said my skin lit up in those colors. My complexion faded to the background with the winter colors. When I asked the consultant why that was, she said that not only do we LOOK better in our colors but our eye tends to go to those colors in everything we do from decorating to clothes.

Mystery solved! Find out what "season" you are and I'll bet you say, "Yep, that has always been me."

I love the bright fabrics, especially batik. I consider red a neutral and do not even consider brown a color.

In my avatar you can see the black and white stripe. Although in small amounts it is very pretty it does come in a long piece and was very painfull to look at. Even the lady cutting it for me (a friend that I used to work with at Hobby Lobby) fussed the whole tie saying that I was going to cause her to go blind.

    So I guess I would say...Stripes.
