Spend a few extra $ to get an ergonomic cutter. You'll really appreciate it in the long run. There is one that a friend has that the blade only comes open when you push on it to cut something. That is really nice not to have to remember to close the blade cover. But I don't remember the name of hers.

Oh, wait-what type of cutter are you talking about? The single blade rotary cutter or the cutting systems?

i have a strip cutter that I got at Joanns it cuts perfect strips from 1/2 inch to however wide you want. I think it is a JuneTylor brand it looks just like a paper cutter and works exactly like a paper cutter. Oh you can also make squares and rectangles with it also I love it because it is only way I can cut straight Got it at JoiAnns with a coupon however if you already have a paper cutter as long as you dedicate your blade to cutting fabric and not paper it will work as well

I have rather severe arthritis in my hands especially ... I love my Alto's QuiltCut2. It can do angles and lots of different things. If you get a chance look it up on the net or see if a rep is at a local area quilt expo.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to use the accuquilt due to my arthritis. It would be great if I had someone else to use it for me and could afford all the dies. Since that isn't so ... I love my Alto's.
