When I moved and redid my stash (wip) as I re-folded I measured and cut up pieces of Index cards marked the into and stpapled it to the selvage. That way when I want to make something it off I can look to see if I have enough.

I've been to a very large sale at the Salvation Army in Janesville Wi several times. The group measures the fabrics, sorts, stacks, packages, whatever is needed. The tickets are small pieces of paper cut down and stapled with the price marked in pen along the edge of the fabric going only thru a single length. That way the tickets don't fall off, Are clearly visable and the customer can open the length of fabric to check for flaws. No problem removing the single staple. Seems to work well for them.

i recognize some of that fabric, i used that country angel print for a baby to be.....that baby just got it's drivers liscense

In Penn when you buy fabric they use a piece of masking tape and write the price on that.

Since the tabs are coming off, make a large sign as np3 did and make the FQs one price, bags of scraps one price, etc.. and add along with the colored tabs (in case one falls off). That way, there should be no problem.Or you could just sell by the pound.

I went to a garage sale with literally a ton of fabrics which were rolled at 10-12" lengths, then the yardage and price were stapled onto the selvedge with a desk stapler. There was no damage to the fabric, but if there were it was on the selvedge anyway. I purchased over $100 of fabric and not ONE had damage from the staples.

Rotary cut pieces of freezer paper, write the price and iron on. Guarrantee that won't fall off.

maybe print up some small tags that say:

Number of yards ______

Price $____________

Then staple the tag to the salavge of fabric

Please don't use regular masking tape - it leaves a sticky residue that won't come off. Experience is the best teacher!
