fabric fraying on applique
#14
I would definitely use a narrow satin stitch around the edges. I have made several crib quilts with machine applique and I used the satin stitch; 20 years and many washings later the applique is still in good shape.

You might try "Aleene's "OK To Wash It".......it's a permanent fabric bond used for trims etc.
It's not the one I was thinking of but it's what I found in my stuff. I'm reorganizing my sewing room and things scattered here and yon.
When I bought my serger they said to use a product at the end of the seams as it seals off the threads from raveling and stays soft..........but I can't find it. If I do I will send you a pm.
