Is this the show others were talking about? AOL has sev. segments about Barbara's "quilt" hoard.

This isn't the woman I was talking about but this woman is worse. She's a "quiltaholic" for sure.

Looks like they didn't force her to throw away her fabric after all! She sorted through everything and got it into bins. There was a nice big pile to donate to other chapters of Quilts of Valor and then ... they built a wonderful storage area in her garage. The big surprise was members of the Army showing up to help her put it all away. It was so touching!
Yes, this made me cry, too. Don't you just love those shelves in her garage? She could make quilts for all branches of the military with what she has.

They show it repeatedly. I saw it after there was a posting about it on this board. So don't worry (OR you can just ask some of us on the board whether you can come over LOL).

OMG...thats exactly what I have been saying for the last couple of years and then recently when we heard the price of cotton was going up I really stocked up......I love to organize so finding new places isn't a problem...yet lol

Was it Carolyn B.? They showed her with quilts, & said she had a ton of material.

Thanks for the links. I loved seeing what they did with her garage! Can I have floor to ceiling shelves like that? What fun it would be to have friends over to sew for QOV there.

I am glad she is happy about the changes. I got plenty of fabric but am far from hoarding and hope to never get there. It sounds depressing to me. If the fabric and stuff is making you feel bad it is no longer fun. I am so glad she was able to get the help she wanted.

Barbara has quilting days at various locations and I go to a few and have met some wonderful quilters. She is very organized now as a place to keep everything.
