I understand completely! No, you are not a failure. I, too, have put myself on a spending moratorium for this year. I only going to buy when necessary for a particular project. I have lots of projects in various stages so I'm not going to start too many new things this year. Don't beat yourself up over this.

I say good for you! I would probably have bought more. Don't think about what you spent..... but what you saved!

So sad to hear about another quilt shop closing. I can't blame you for giving in...maybe next year!

Ah well, I suspect most of us that signed up for that fabric moratorium will fall off the wagon sooner or later. Today I needed a quilt backing. Good thing nothing at CT would work, or I'd be on the road with you! But a 50% off sale? Hey, that's smart to stock up...and you'll be too busy sewing to go back. Right? Maybe? I'd be back there a LOT! Enjoy your new stash!

You were duty bound to help them out and besides you needed closure for you and the owners. If it wasn't by choice they were closing, it was definitely the right thing to do.

I'm with you there. At that price...hmmmm. I need some more white on white and cream on cream...will be looking when I come back for son's wedding this May.
