    Default Fabric purse sales ...

Anyone else see the QVC sale of the fabric quilted bags by Vera Bradley last night? Wow I have been under pricing my bags at the charity auctions!

I think we are all guilty of under rating our work. Most people don't have a clue how much time and love goes into them. Can I hear an amen?

Anyone else making bags for Christmas gifts?

I didn't watch the QVC sale, but I know the bags are very expensive.

You also see them often, which makes "home made" purses, totes or wallets even more desirable in my opinion.

I've also seen that some people go "crazy" for Vera Bradley bags, just because it's a Vera Bradley. Blessings to her and her bags.

Most of the time we (ourselves) do not put a good value on our creations, for whatever reason. So if I don't value myself for what I've created, how can I expect for someone else to see it.

I try not to compare my work with someone else's, there is always someone better. But this doesn't mean, that your work isn't outstanding or not beautiful.

With this in mind, I quilt and create and love to see the joy of the people who appreciate their gift.

I agree in 2 ways, many people undervalue their work, however, some people are willing to pay a premium for a name brand that they aren't going to pay for yours, even if it's identical.

I've never understood the attraction of VB and the cost. I love to make bags and I know I don't get what they are worth when I sell them. My main reason making then is that I enjoy the process of dreaming up new patterns and making them. If I get enough to cover the cost of materials I'm happy.
