Default Fabric Shop in Old Jerusalem

My husband and I had the privilege of travelling to Israel in November. I found this fabric shop in the Old City of Jerusalem. It was packed to the rafters with bolts of beautiful Damascus cotton. The photo is of the owner measuring fabric for me with a yard stick- charming. I did buy 8- 3 yard lengths of fabric and a lovely embroidered table cloth from him.

Yes I do, I will create another post, the fabric was out of this world! Gorgeous stripes, 30" wide for about $9 per yard. It is too heavy for quilting but will make terrific table runners, etc.

Looks like you had fun. Good thing you bought 3 yard pieces because you are not going to find it anywhere else. What a great reminder you will have of your visit.
