The scissors are usually under the table and yardsticks in a basket near by.
Prices are per yd but you have to weigh the fabric.
You cut the fabric. There´s a scale in front of the cutting table, spot your fabric swatch and code on a catalogue by the scale, customer puts the fabric on the scale, enter the code and a small printer on the counter connected to the scale prints a label with the price.
Since the stores have the same layout its possible you find it easily when you get back.
