Has anyone tried the Fabulous Fabric Guide? It's supposed to give more control when doing free motion quilting. I'm thinking of getting it since I free motion on a Babylock. The link is below.

I have them but find I do better with just my hands. I guess I am just too uncoordinated!

Have not tried these. I use two Mr. Clean sponges to grip with. They grip the fabric and do not slip.

I have two -- different sizes. They are OK, I also like the sticky finger garden gloves that I use for FMQ as well. I can use the glides for small projects, but holding on for any length of time hurts my hands.

I have a set of these I was given and it is not all it is cracked up to be. FMQ is still easier using some type of gloves for gripping. Using this glide, sponges or anything there still will be a learning curve. I will sell mine too. PM if you are interested.

I too like the garden gloves and they were only a dollar!

I have a red ring thinga-mah-jig, and have used it, it works, as far as holding the fabric, but there's limitation in movement, I find it's easier to use my hands...With that being said, it also could be, I just haven't given it a fair enough chance..I'm a creature of habit, and of the mindset, "if it ain't broke (use my hands), don't fix it" (use the ring).. :D
