THAT is wishful thinking on his part. I'd suggest you check out www.patternreview.com and enter 6600 in the search box and select sm/sergers in the lookup section (it defaults to "pattern" where the down arrow is) You will see that nobody paid more than $1,500 and the lowest was under $1,000. With the new Horizon on the market, I would negotiate like the dickens.
Does your dealer run specials throughout the year? Good luck.

Things are usually more here in Chicago, but I wouldn't pay more than $1000-1100 regardless of what's included. There are several similar machines to this one now, the Elna 7300, which is made by Janome, the Babylock Quest Plus (I paid $1300 for this incl some extras 2 mos ago), and the Pfaff Smarter C1100Pro, which is NEW and has 9mm stitches, a free arm, auto cut, low bobbin alert, electronic tension and sells for $1600. Also, the Horizon and other new models coming out should drive down the price of the 6600. So do NOT pay $2K for a 6600. It's a got a reputation as a fabulous machine. There are probably used ones for sale from new Horizon owners.

Hi,
I am interested in purchasing a 6600p but my LQS is quoting $1800. Can you tell me where in Middle Tn you have seen them for $1300? Also if anyone knows of a shop in Georgia selling them for a good price I would be willing to drive there. Thanks alot.

I have a Janome 6600P complete with the Janome table, the knee lift, extention table, manual, all the feet and even a bag of 50 extra bobbins for $1,250. It is 3 years old and has been used very little except for quilting. It has the built-in walking foot. I have 3 other sewing Janome's as well as the 350E Janome embroidery machine. This machine is well worth the money, don't know where you live at, but might be worth the drive.
