Fair price for Pfaff 1467?
I'm looking for a machine to leave in our holiday (vacation) lodge. I have a high end Pfaff which I love, but is a ton weight to lift and another one I leave in class (I don't want to move this one back and forth for various reasons).
I've been offered a Pfaff 1467 for £150/$215 by a local dealer. I'm keen on getting another Pfaff as my feet will fit. I forgot to ask how old it is or if there's any warranty Is this a fair price?

Just be sure that your feet will fit. Ask about a warranty and if he will throw in a service call. Take a small quilt and test out the machine. Usually dealers do give a machine a good going over. I would buy it if it were me. I have two Bernina from the same series so everything is interchangeable.

I have a 1467. Purchased in 1991-new for $2000, a lot at that time. I have used it almost daily since that time and it has been in for service only twice. Parts are now hard to get, usually taken from unusable machines. You have to get the correct bobbin-one with a slot-not the round holes. I ordered mine from Annies. The feet are interchangeable with other model Pfaffs. I also have a new model Pfaff. Sew on the one you have been offered and see if the bobbin winder still works-not a deal breaker but nice to not have to unthread to wind bobbin. I would buy it in a heartbeat if it sews well and is not missing the IDT attachment, one of the best parts of Pfaff.
