My uncle just passed away and I want to put together a quilt for his wife and 4 year old son. I want to let them know that there are always people all over that are thinking about her and her son. If you would like to make a block then PM me and I will be happy to let you know details. Thank you to everyone that has helped so far. Kendall McBride will be greatly missed.

What type of block are you looking for? Colors? How much time do we have?

Alyssa, I am so sorry. I hope the blocks that us chatters made for you will still be used. I got your card, also, that was sweet of you.

Your blocks are still being used and will make an amazing quilt. I think making this quilt will be a good experience and I can't wait to give it to his family.

If I remember correctly (oldtimers) I think you asked for prayer for your Uncle. I am so sorry for his passing but GOD is in control and He will give you peace. Please let me know the size of the block you want.

Ok I am going to be adding pictures to the quilt as well. Does any one know how to get them printed onto fabric and so on?

Your local craft/quilt store will have either printable fabric or iron-on transfer paper for ink jet printers. That will be your best bet. I know people also have luck with ironing fabric to freezer paper & running it through an ink jet printer, but I've never tried.

Use something like Buble Jet Set and Buble Jet Rinse on your fabric. First treat your fabric with Buble Jet Set solution and after it is dry iron onto freezer paper. Or you can buy freezer sheets already cut. Trim your fabric the right size for your printer making sure you have no loose threads before printing. After printing allow to dry for at least 30 min. then rinse in Buble Jet Rinse. It will set the colors for you and not wash out.

Very sorry about your Uncle. He very much reminds me of an old friend of mine, he had a newphew named Kendall.
