    Default Family quilting bee

Here is the promised pictures after returning from a family gathering in TN to celebrate my mom's 80th birthday. (Doesn't she look amazing for 80?)
I took my Pieces of Baltimore quilt top, we got it sandwiched and on a frame, then started hand quilting and got almost 1/4th of it done! My mom, sister and even my brother all worked on it with me. (I am in the foreground.) We did mostly outline/in the ditch quilting to emphasize the piecing and it made the machine piecing look more like applique. It was a great way to spend time together, we had a great week. Also went hiking and played games and just enjoyed being together.

That looks like a great memory you made today!
Nice quilt too, and yes, your mother looks about 20 years younger than her age!- What is her secret?
