Farmers Wife quilt
What is the difference between the Farmers Wife Quilt and the Pony Club Quilt? I am looking to get the book, but I don't want to buy both books. The quilts look like the same patterns. Does anyone know the difference? Thanks for any help.

Both books were written by Laurie Aaron Hird.
They are based on two different stories/themes, slightly different time periods in the early 1900s.
FWS is 111, 6" blocks
PC is 90, 8" blocks
The blocks are different, not just for their sizes.
Here's a link to Laurie's site where you can learn more.

There are several of us here on the Quilting Board who have worked on or are working on one or both of these quilts on the Quilt Along threads.

My completed FWS is post #203.
For the PC quilts, we are now at week 29, meaning that those who have kept the pace of 2 blocks per week now have 58 blocks completed.
Hope you'll join us in one or both of the quilt along groups.

Thanks for the information. I'm thinking that I may HAVE to buy both books. The stories sound wonderful. I will have to think about it for awhile. I bookmarked the site for the information for future reference. Thanks again
