Go to www.quilterscache.com.
Down at the bottom of the page click on quiltblocks galore. This will take you to a page full of the blocks in full color. Scroll through all 60 pages and check for the easiest looking blocks. You can make entire quilts from one block, or add more. The block sizes range from 1-16+ inches so it should be fairly easy to figure out how many blocks you need, then borders and binding to get the completed size you are looking for. One of the great things about this site and the instructions, is a drawn picture of a finished quilt using the block, complete with sashings, borders, and bindings.
And Thank You for giving of yourself to those who need.

Don't forget to check out Quiltville.com and Maryquilts.com. There's a great Quick Strippy made with WOF strips of varying widths on Mary's site that is so simple- just add borders if you need it wider. Just remember to alternate sewing the strips- R to L, L to R - to avoid bowing. Some of you folks are So Prolific!!!!!

Project Linus has a cute, easy, free pattern called Warm Wishes. (a picture was posted last week)
Quilts for Kids has a cute easy pattern, alternate a nine patch with a solid block.
There are many websites that have free patterns for crib/lap quilts.
I've seen pictures posted here of lap quilts where strips of fabric the width of the quilt are sewn together until you get the length you want, don't know the name of the pattern, but easy enough to do without instructions.
A great way to use up all those leftover strips of fabric.
Congratulations on making quilts for a good cause.

Ask me! LOL! Potato Chip Quilt so named because you can't make just one. Cut 8.5" squares and sew 2.5" strips on all four sides. Then just sew the blocks together. . . OR: Cut finished 10.5" square in half twice; once north to south and again west to east. Turn two diagonal "new" blocks around 180 and stitch back together. You can find a link to it on here by searching Potato Chip Quilts. Here's a link to the original pattern:

Believe me, this one is fast and never boring!

Check out the Linus project website. www.linusproject.com
They have a lot of quick and easy patterns and I think most of them are free. It does send you to a lot of other sites for patterns. I like the Warm Wishes quilt.

Here's a video for the 10 minute block. It uses 10" squares but you could use 5" squares or 9 patch squares or, or, or! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sgAZ3_xdkGw
Also check out the 5 minute block!
Disappearing 9 patch is always a quickie!

I have been given an easy free pattern for these quilts by a person who called the pattern Blankies for Adults. I call them "nap" quilts for they are quick and easy to make and pretty. I give them instead of get well cards to someone ill or recovering to rest under. Check on the Internet under Linus Project quilts.
