Email Corp. with your concerns. I think that is where
the fat quarters are sent from

I would send a message to HQ and bring it up at your local Guild so others will check out what they buy. If everyone who gets shorted starts sending messages and buying less they will get the message.

Every one should e-mail the head office. You succeeded to have fabrics back at Wal-Mart. Maybe you'll get the right yardage at Joanne's. The consumer should always be right!

I've decided to buy yardage only and go from there with fat quarters, less frustrating and then I will have fabric I love for another project in my stash. I found the quality of some of joanne's to be flimsy as well.

fabric not longer comes 44"or 45" wide. you are lucky if you get 42" wide. When I plan fabric for a project I figure it to be 40" usable only and never get disappointed. I also only purchase fabric at a LQS. Want to keep them in business.

another problem is getting a fat quarter with a 2" selvage on it that has to be cut off. I didn't pay for wasted fabric or uneven cut fabric. not at the prices that are now being charged for fat quarters

They can't fix a problem if they don't know about it.

Mary, I certainly would speak to the manager but be sure to bring all the fabric you had to trim off to even the fabric when you talk to the manager. The reason I say this because when I had a dispute regarding fabric that was one not cut long enough and what was cut was very uneven I didn't have the scraps that I had to trim off to even it and they wouldn't do anything to make good without it. The manager at our store couldn;t have cared less whether I ever bought anything there again. Now I never buy their fabric only sewing notions and supplies that they have not had to measure or cut. Yes a fat quarter is 18 x 22 not 21".
