I have looked at this thread a few times and I am going to bite the bullet and jump in.

I had a baby 3 weeks ago and I had Gestational Diabetes which puts me as a good candidate for Type 2 in my future. My midwife wants me to loose weight to help lessen my chances. I actually lost weight during my pregnancy and have lost 15lbs. since I have been home. I can't get down to serious weight loss until my 6 weeks are up, and then I have 55 more to go. This will help me keep on track.

I am going to do 6" blocks with scrappy fabric. I found a block called "Fair and Square". It is simple and I am new to sewing and quilting so it fits my needs. I am going to get my first blcok done tomorrow and I will try to post a picture with my completed block .

Best luck to all and keep up the good work.

I have to say welcome to evryone that has joined us today. Who would have thought a quilt block per pound would be a motivation to lose weight.
