Happy Thanksgiving all! I am having the family here. All 4 kids, 3 significant others, 3 uncles and husband and I. I made all tradtional dishes including 2 veg's and a huge fruit salad. I will try to go easy on the stuffing and gravy but still enjoy the holiday.

How you all had a great Thanksgiving. I had 18 people here. Lots of fun and noise.
I cooked 2 turkeys and someone else brought a ham. We do not have enough turkey for a meal today. :-)
I did pretty well on Thanksgiving but then my mom and I went shopping early on BF morning and we went out to breakfast then was to tired to cook for dinner so we went out again. Not good.
Got on the scale today and gained 2 1/2 pounds. :-( VERY sad but with my scale it may not be correct.
I will find out how I really did in a few days.
Mom is still here so will not be back in gear till Monday.

That's okay Quilting Nana. One step back, two steps forward.

The holiday didn't go well. I think it was the cheesecake. My fabrics for my quilt squares arrived. It is gorgeous. I wish I could afford to use all Benartex fabrics. It feels so silky and the colors just glow.
The fabric will be put in a drawer for several reasons. 1) No longer five pounds down 2) Two of the fabrics cannot go in the same quilt. It's back to the drawing board, but I'm sure I know which one I'm using. The fuchias are beautiful and 3) Christmas sewing to do.
Today is a new day. The cheesecake is gone. The weight will come off again.

First time to see this thread and have to share that since I had both knees replaced Sept 1 this year, I have lost 30 lb. Can't really take a lot of credit for it though as I am vegetarian and the rehab hospital had no clue how to prepare appetizing vege food! Plus I had no appetite from the drugs either. Seems as if my stomach shrank considerably and now it fills up so fast. Not complaining about that as it makes it so much easier to limit the caloric intake. Below 210 today the first time in 15 + years! Can't believe it. Over the Moon about it! Figure the knees don't need to carry two people around, one is enough and I AM getting there!
