Hi Christina..I got your thread address from cjomomma, I asked her about her weight loss and she sent me two threads to go to. I would like to join " fat quilts for fluffy people " I always tell my GKs that mimi has to be be fluffy so they have a soft lap to sit on. That idea won't work anymore, have to make a change. This thread sounds like fun and should be good motivation. Thanks, Carol (watson's mom )

Welcome!!! My daycare kids tell me the same thing. I can get skinnier but I'm not allowed to lose my fluff because I'm warm and fun to hug. LOL I'm looking forward to seeing your quilt blocks. :)

Doing GREAT! I can't wait to see if I've lost anymore weight. Wednesday is my day to weigh. I lost half a pound last week, I'll be thrilled if I lose a pound this week. Little by little!

I also wanted to share my daily mantra with you all:
I am in control of me.

I say it maybe 50 times a day. I'm not allowing food cravings (or any one person) to make me binge. I am in control of me and I am going to stay in control!

Good for you Hun!! That is the best way to do it, take control of your decisions. Don't let others influence your food intake.

I have discovered that I can have junk food in my home but I don't have to eat it. I can make the decision not too and so far it is working.

Tonight my DD looked at me and said Mom you really need to buy some smaller clothing. Your cloths are looking way to baggy. :D Boy do I love that child. :-D

I would if I could but shopping for clothing will have to wait til tax time. What I have found at the thrift shops is either ugly or should have went in to the trash. LOL!!! I can wait.

Find a simple pattern, that compliments your body shape, and make you a new wardrobe that fits you. Making your clothes are 1) unique to you 2) cheaper than buy off the rack 3) give you more money to buy fabric for quilting :D

Congratulations Thelondonzoo, cjomomma, watsons mom and everyone else who are posting such encouraging losses. I think we can all be proud for staying on track even during the holidays. I lost anothe .6 pound this week. Knowing I have a group to support me helps me to make wiser decisions. We attended a Christmas party at the neighbors and a football game this week end. I totally enjoyed both and enjoyed the food and drinks with out going crazy. It truly is becoming a new way of life!
