Ladies, I have just started reading this thread, so have a ways to go. You are doing wonderfully. I want to join in too, is it too late? I would love to have a quilt for myself. I have lost 15 pounds this year but am putting them back on for some reason. So this will be great motivation to keep going the other way. I would like to loose 15 more.

    Hello my friends
I have been absent from this thread and all thread because my computer was broken. I an now back and I missed all of you very much.
I am down 20 pounds and still going. I set a goal last month of losing 5 pounds before Christmas. I reached that goal and now my new goal is 2 more before Christmas. I have several parties to go to so I will be very happy if I only lose 1 more or I stay even but I feel I have to reach high. So 2 more is my goal.
I have to admit it was hard without my support group.
Thank you for being there for me.

Wow, I'm so impressed with the success stories! Congrats all!! You have been doing a fabulous job and have been motivating me to keep with it. Today was my last final exam for the term and I thought it would be yummy to buy a small cake from the grocery store to celebrate. Went to the store and stared at the cake then turned around and walked out. I celebrated with DH in a "grown-up" way when I got home. ;) HA! I feel great for keeping on track!

GREAT JOB!!! The are so many better ways of celebrating than eating. You made a great decision to walk away!!!!
Keep it up. You will get to your goal.

Good thing I don't have a quilt pattern picked out yet because I've gained. :(

    Congratulations to those who lost.

I turned down peanut brittle from my mother :D
I am going to try very hard to not pig out this month. DH keeps buying cookies and I can't just eat one... the best way for me to not eat it is to try to keep it out of the house... not always easy with two other people that bring it in...

Does anyone else eat esentially the same lunch everyday? Every day that i don't work I eat a salad. Unlimited greens with a small portion of protein (chicken, shrimp, tuna, egg, etc), 1 oz cheese, maybe a fruit (craisens, fresh berries, grapes) 2 tbsp lowfat dressing and a carb (low fat crackers, pita bread, low fat pasta). Today I changed it up by sauteing broccoli, carrots, mushrooms and chicken breast and having that with low fat crackers. Yummm. I have an easier time staying on track if I have limits to my choices.
