Default Faux fur backing on baby quilt

I am going to back a cotton pieced top with a short nap faux fur. What should I do about batting? No batting? Batting? Cotton flannel for batting? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Baby is almost here and I don’t want to mess this up!

    Does this fake fur shed?

    If yes, don't use it.

If you are going to put some quilting in , I would say just the top and the fur.

Nope, it doesn’t shed. I prewashed it and it turned out beautiful.

I was wondering if that would be the way to do it. Thanks!

I don't use batting when using furry fabric because the fur is so heavy already. I fold it to the front for a fuzzy binding!
